Operations Gate <IFT> <IFT> tab

The <IFT> tab, referring to an inter-facility transfer screen configured with the IFT Tran Type form (on page 1), allows you to validate a full container transferred to your facility via a shared yard block and add information to the unit.

To validate an inter-facility transfer:

1. Enter the transferred unit in the Unit Nbr field of the Unit Search section of the tab.

2. Select the transaction type in the IFT Unit Validate/Update section of the tab.

3. Provide information for all required fields.

4. Provide available optional information.

5. Click Validate Unit.

Provided all the business tasks configured for the transaction pass, the <IFT> tab clears and confirms that the validation is complete. In addition, if the PlanIFTUnitToYard (on page 1) business task is included in the IFT gate configuration, XPS plans the unit out of the shared yard block.

Notes

• The configuration and use of the <IFT> tab is optional when performing inter-facility transfers via a shared yard block. However, use of the <IFT> tab is the only way to execute business tasks to validate the transfer.
